A lot of people think that 72 hour dry fasting is the way to pranic living.
But a dry-fast has nothing to do with pranic living. If you dry fast for 72 hours, your immune system will reset. That’s a medical thing you can do. I always advise people to dry fast or to water fast for 72 hours once a year just to reset your immune system.
I do have a dry-fast in my retreat but that is to give the participants the experience of the 72 hours dry-fast. Then you know how a pranic body feels.
- The first day is really easy.
- The second day you feel tired, and
- The third day you really want a glass of water.
But, still, during this process, you will also feel a change in energy.
It might feel as if a door opens and energy starts flowing and your mind becomes clear.
During the dry-fast, my team will assist you if you find it scary or difficult. But everyone so far has done it, found it much easier than anticipated and you too can do this!
So if you take out all the food, if you take out all the water, your body will be distressed, and a distressed body is a body that is very silent and peaceful inside.
That is the way I always feel inside. I can be very busy, but inside of me, there is an absolute silence. And there is an absolute peace.
So with that experience you can put it pranic living and eating on scale. On the one side is the stillness of pranic living and on the other side is a stressed body with food.
So if you eat and drink it will take away the distressed body and the absolute silence inside and when you stop eating and drinking will come back.
So that’s one of the reasons I do the dry fast in my retreats just to give people the experience and reset the physical body.
