Finding your authenticity will make your fire burn again
These profound questions come up in different phases of life. You have probably heard of the quarter-life crisis and the mid-life crisis. There are also countless songs written about the deeper questions of life. To describe the meaning of authenticity, we use the example of the song by Stef Bos: “is this now later?” Later in this article we will delve deeper into 'the essence'.
The emotional song that was published somewhere in the nineties, Stef sings about the lie that was told to him when he grew up to be an adult. He had countless questions about life, but was told by his environment (parents, school, society) that everything would become clear later, provided you keep doing what you are taught.
However, it turned out to be a lie for him. He sings in the song “…I still don’t know who I am, Is this now ‘later’?”. A typical statement for the somewhat deeper thinkers in the world. For those who have not yet found their place in the world. To find it, you have to be able to connect with your inner world. That is where your essence lies!

Following the authentic path of your heart is the difficult path
His life was about getting degrees, making money, becoming independent, following the rules and surviving financially. Because as long as he followed the rules, he was told, everything would be fine… However, he came to a point in his life where he did everything by the book and experienced an enormous emptiness and disappointment.
He looked back at his youth and the path he had walked. He discovered that he had given up his dreams and desires that he had as a child and had exchanged them for serious things like: a house, a tree, a pet. Because that is what everyone encouraged him to do. His family and friends did this too! Despite the fact that he felt at a young age that things were not right, he just kept going like the rest of his environment.
A feeling of emptiness and a lack of meaning & authenticity
He painfully discovered that it was not his own authentic path that he had walked. He had become far removed from his essence. He had lost himself, so to speak. This made him emotionally ill: anger, sadness, fear, gloom and a whole lot of life questions were the result. His fire had gone out. He saw no way out anymore…
But don't worry Stef, we have a solution for you – it does take some courage, dedication and guidance, but there is definitely a way back (to yourself).
The first step is leadership: acknowledge your position, speak it out and learn to take responsibility by deepening and taking action. The change lies in your words and actions… Your authenticity is what you will express when you connect with your inner source.

“With our organization we help hundreds of people every year to (re)discover their authenticity, the essence of their existence. We cannot give you the answer… that is hidden deep within yourself, but with this article we can and want to help you to give direction, so that you get to know your true self: your essence… your real authentic self.” – Brahman Menor
Retreating to find your authenticity and essence
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in the situation as Stef described in his song. A situation in which you have made choices and now feel like you are on your own... If you recognize yourself in this, then know that we have guided many people with our organization and are still allowed to guide them every week. We do this in the form of retreats
If you want some background information about the possibilities, take a look at the retreat pages or contact us. As soon as you attend one of our specially developed retreats, you will be guided - in a safe setting - to discover the depth within yourself together with others.

Emptying your backpack and preventing it from being refilled
Your whole life you have been busy collecting information, both consciously and unconsciously. Over the years you build up a backpack with nice, helpful information, but also annoying, obstructive information. You take your obstructive conditioning, beliefs and traumas with you. We know this as 'your backpack'.
Everyone with some life experience has a backpack. If you walk around with a backpack that is too heavy for too long, it will cause all sorts of complaints. It limits you and exhausts you. It does not help you get closer to yourself, but exhausts you.
How do you make life lighter and more energetic?
Having a drink, going out to dinner with loved ones or watching Netflix all weekend will not help you lighten your life and give you long-lasting energy, even though it feels good at the time, it is only a temporary superficial numbness or distraction.
What does help is dedicating yourself for a week and going deeper layer by layer until we reach your source. Where your essence lies, the fire burns brightly. There, the source of energy is inexhaustible and the light shines brighter than you can imagine.

What is the essence?
Essence goes beyond superficial definitions. It is the pure core, the essential, your pure form, the light within. Some call it your soul or your source. It is about the elements that form the basis of our understanding of the world, ourselves, and the things that surround us.
But can we really empathize with this essence and reach our purest form that is hidden in each of us? A question that makes you think deeper. We are happy to guide you on your path to deepening.
Part of your essence is visible in your childhood
Childhood is characterized by impulsiveness, emotional purity and the formation of our personality. As we grow up and become part of society, we are influenced by our environment, parents, school and society. Emotions play a central role in our existence and influence our choices and desires. We grow in a certain direction based on our character, learned behavior and emotions, but to what extent does your essence differ from where you are at this moment?
