Question answer

Q & A – Frequently Asked Questions & Answers about Pranic Living

Pranic living means never eating or drinking again

Pranic living is not an all-or-nothing story. It is about consciously choosing and listening to your body. You can always eat or drink when it feels good. Many people who start with pranic living combine periods of living on prana with smaller eating moments. It is a process in which you discover step by step what suits you.

Pranic Living is unhealthy or dangerous

Pranic living is all about strengthening your health, your energy and your balance. You learn to listen to your body and not to force anything. The guidance is always loving and attuned to your pace. Health and well-being are always paramount.

It is only for people with a lot of discipline or spiritual experience

No, you don’t have to be spiritual or religious to participate in pranic transformation. Participants come from all backgrounds and beliefs—from those who feel spiritual to those who are simply curious about more energy, clarity, and freedom in their lives.

The pranic transformation is primarily practical and experience-oriented. You will be given tools, exercises and insights that you can apply in your own way, regardless of your faith or belief. There is no obligation to adhere to certain spiritual ideas or to follow rituals. You are welcome as you are, with your own questions, curiosity and openness.

You have to give up everything: food, conviviality, social moments

Pranic living does not mean that you have to say goodbye to coziness or connection. The social aspect remains important! You learn to deal with food and drink more consciously, but you can always choose what feels good.

What if I use food/drink as emotional support?

This is very recognizable. During the retreat you will learn to deal with emotions in a gentle way, without judgement. You will receive practical tips to deal with food and feelings more consciously, so that you experience more freedom, also on an emotional level. You will receive tips and tools for this in your aftercare and during the support that you will receive for 2 years after the retreat.

It is an expensive, time-consuming or complicated journey

During the prana days after the pranic transformation you will notice that you actually have more time left, because you are not busy preparing, eating or cleaning up meals. This gives space for rest, reflection and the optional exercises that you will be given during the retreat. Many participants experience this extra time as a valuable opportunity to listen to themselves more deeply and gain new insights.

After the pranic transformation, you will return to eating normally, but in a way that you will learn step by step during the program. This approach is practical, simple and achievable for everyone—you don’t have to expect complicated or challenging routines. The goal is that you can effortlessly integrate the new habits into your daily life, regardless of your family or work situation.

Furthermore, the pranic transformation focuses on gradual, practical steps, so that you do not have to change everything at once. You will receive clear explanations and guidance, so that you know exactly what to expect and how to achieve the best results with minimal impact on your daily obligations. After the pranic transformation, you do not have to do anything to maintain it. The only thing you will do is train to be able to do your prana days.

A pranic transformation does indeed require an investment of time, attention and money, but many participants experience that this investment more than pays for itself. In addition to the two years of guidance, practical tools and the support of a warm community (at the Pranic Essence Retreat and the Pranic Activation Weekend), you often also notice financial benefits: because you need less or no food and drink on your prana days, and eat more minimalistic on your eating days, you spend less on groceries and meals.

Many people feel more energetic, clearer and more balanced thanks to this lifestyle. By eating less and lighter, your digestion gets more rest, which gives your body the chance to recover and recharge. Your intestinal wall can close better, which is beneficial for your overall health, and your immune system can focus entirely on your well-being instead of on the constant processing of food.

These physical benefits are often complemented by a sense of freedom and more vitality in daily life. The combination of financial savings, physical health benefits and long-term personal guidance makes many participants consider the retreat a valuable and sustainable investment in themselves.

In addition, there are all kinds of ways to get acquainted with pranic living, from a Introduction day, to online products, to the weekend of extended retreatsYou determine your own pace and investment.

You can no longer play sports or be physically active

You can continue to exercise during pranic living. Many people even notice that their energy level increases and that they can easily walk, run, work out or do other endurance sports. Your body gets energy from prana instead of food, so your battery never runs out. Heavy work or intensive exercise remains possible.

You automatically become very thin or lose muscle mass

Although your body adapts and often reaches a healthier, stable weight, pranic living does not mean that you become unhealthily thin. Your muscle mass is maintained if you remain active. It is all about balance: your body finds a new equilibrium and can even feel stronger than before, if you continue to train properly.

You become socially isolated because you can no longer participate in dinners

Pranic living does not mean that you can no longer be part of social occasions. You can still be with others during meals, enjoying the company and the atmosphere, even if you are not eating yourself. Many people actually experience more connection, because they are more consciously present and feel freer in their choices.

Can anyone just start with pranic living?

Pranic living is a process that is accessible to everyone from the age of 18. You only need to be free of complaints of anorexia, bulimia and psychosis for at least one year.

Why do you need to be free of eating disorders for at least one year?

Anorexia (and other eating disorders) are not about not wanting to eat or drink anymore, but are deep down about control, self-image and often also dealing with emotions. Pranic living is not an answer to these underlying themes. The goal of pranic living is not to avoid food or drink, but to let go of the conditioning of dependency on food and experience freedom in your choices around food and drink.

Precisely because pranic living is a very intense process, in which you learn to no longer use food and drink as emotional, social or spiritual coping, it can be extra risky for people with an eating disorder. There is a chance that the desire not to eat actually feeds the eating disorder instead of healing it. That is why it is essential that you have fully recovered from an eating disorder first, so that you can start pranic living with a healthy foundation and intention.

Experience shows that people who have been free of eating disorder behavior for a long time, stand much more firmly in their shoes and can better feel whether they are really ready for this next step. Only then can you experience the freedom and confidence that pranic living can bring, without it becoming a new form of control or avoidance.

What if I am ill or taking medication?

Every physical challenge always starts here and can be in our body for years. Somewhere in your life this can cause physical discomfort or we can even become seriously ill if we do not work on these causes. Unfortunately, all 4 will have to be addressed simultaneously because they are all linked.

That is why many people do not succeed in healing and we often seek medical treatment. However, this is often not the solution because these 4 causes remain and we later get the same or other complaints again.

If you have a physical challenge, it always has to do with the following 4 reasons that cannot be viewed separately:

  1. Traumas in our cells
  2. Leaky gut (open bowel wall)
  3. Lowered immune system
  4. Breeding ground for our cells

Now if you look at the pranic transformation process, where all trauma flows out of your cells, the intestinal wall closes by reducing to almost zero food intake, your immune system restores 100% and the nutrition of the cells becomes prana, you will be able to understand that the reason why people are sick completely disappears when you apply this method.

It is therefore very possible to participate in a pranic transformation if you have health problems or are taking medication. Many participants follow the program while taking medication; if you need water to take your medication, that is no problem at all. You do not have to stop or adjust your medication before the retreat.

The exercises and program can also be flexibly adapted to your capabilities if you have physical complaints or limitations.

In fact, many people with health issues choose a pranic transformation because they notice that the process can contribute to recovery, more energy and a better balance in the body. Of course, it is important to always consult with your doctor in case of serious medical conditions. In some cases, such as a history of anorexia or psychosis, you must be free of complaints for at least a year before you can participate

You can continue taking your medication at any time or, in consultation with your doctor, reduce your dosage after at least 6 months.

So is a pranic transformation safe for me?

A pranic transformation is experienced as safe by many participants, partly due to the careful guidance and the warm, supportive nature of the events. The programs are designed in such a way that personal circumstances are taken into account, such as the use of medication or health complaints—for example, you do not have to stop taking medication and we always look at what is feasible and responsible for you.

There are numerous experiences of people who have participated with different backgrounds and health challenges, and who report positive effects such as more energy, better balance and even improvement of certain complaints. Participants report feeling safe, being able to surrender easily and being well guided throughout the process. Stories and experiences of previous participants can be found on our website and social media → https://brahmanmenor.com/recensies/We have many experience stories from people 1, 2 or 3 years after the pranic transformation who tell us what the pranic transformation has brought them.

Is pranic living the same as breatharianism or sungazing?

Although the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, pranic living emphasizes freedom from conditioning. So also the conditioning of “having to” do breathing exercises or look at the sun. Once you have done the pranic transformation, you don’t have to do anything else to live on prana except stop eating and drinking, for which you will receive special training from us.

Does pranic living fit with every faith or philosophy?

Yes, pranic living fits with every belief or philosophy of life. It is not a religion or dogma, but a lifestyle that revolves around consciousness, energy and freedom in your choices. You do not have to have specific spiritual beliefs to start, and you do not have to follow certain rituals. Everyone—regardless of background, belief or experience—is welcome to discover what pranic living can do for them.

How do I know if Pranic Living is right for me?

The most important thing is that you are curious and open to new experiences. You can always start small, for example with an introductory day or by eating more consciously. You will notice for yourself whether this lifestyle suits you.

What kind of people participate in a retreat or a weekend?

Pranic retreats or weekends attract people from all walks of life and backgrounds. Participants range in age from 23 to over 80, and both men and women are welcome—there are even special sleeping arrangements to accommodate everyone. You’ll find parents who continue to cook and care for their families outside of the retreat, people with busy jobs, and participants who have physically or mentally demanding jobs.

There is also a lot of diversity in terms of experience: both beginners without a spiritual background and people who have been involved with consciousness, meditation or yoga for a longer period of time participate. There are participants with health problems, people who are curious about more energy and freedom, and people who are looking for personal growth or healing.

The group often consists of people who are open to new experiences, want to learn practical tools, and are willing to examine themselves and their patterns. Everyone is guided at their own pace, and attention is paid to individual needs—whether you like to be in a group or need more peace and personal guidance.

What if I want to eat or drink again?

That's totally fine! Pranic living is not a strict diet or obligation. You can always fall back on food and drink when it feels good. It's about freedom and self-love, not rules.

Can pranic living be combined with a busy family life or a (heavy) physical job?

Yes, it is possible to combine a pranic transformation with your work or family life. Many participants have families for whom they continue to cook and care, while at the same time going through the pranic transformation process. People with busy jobs, including physically or mentally demanding work, have also successfully participated in the retreat.

The pranic transformation and preparation are designed to fit into a normal daily life. The special detox diet that you follow beforehand is practical and suitable for everyone, even if you have responsibilities at home or at work. In addition, previous participants share that the process helps to experience more energy, clarity and balance, which also has a positive effect on your work and family.

How quickly will I notice changes when I start pranic living?

Everyone is unique, so the experiences will vary. Some people will feel more energy and clarity after a short time, others will notice it gradually. The most important thing is that you give yourself the opportunity to live longer periods of prana to really experience what pranic living feels like and what physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits you can experience with it.

What if those around me are skeptical?

It is very normal for people to have questions or doubts. Feel free to share your experiences, but do not feel obliged to convince others. We advise not to share it yet and only share it when you are further along your pranic path and have more confidence in yourself and the process so that you can share it with more confidence and the opinions of others have less influence on how you are. Your path is unique and the most important thing is that you feel good about it.

Can I breastfeed during pranic transformation?

Definitely. Especially during the pranic online and the pranic activation weekend breastfeeding can go together. Only during the pranic essence retreat where you detox your body beforehand it is important to be aware that you can pass on waste products through breast milk.

I don't want to keep losing weight

There is no need for that. You just keep eating after doing the pranic transformation and certainly after the first transformation year your body will find its own ideal weight and the weight loss will stop.

Are there any signals or feelings that will let me know that it is time to take the step?

There are several signals or feelings that you can notice that it is time to take the step towards a pranic retreat. Many people experience a clear feeling of “yes” inside, an inner attraction or curiosity that is difficult to put into words. For others, this feeling is less direct and there is doubt or uncertainty. Both reactions are completely normal.

Doubt and uncertainty are part of leaving your comfort zone and don’t automatically mean it’s not a good time to take the step. In fact, it can be a sign that you’re ready for something new and that you’re growing. Trust your own feelings and pace; the most important thing is to listen to what’s going on inside you, whether that’s enthusiasm, curiosity, or even excitement. You don’t have to be sure you’re ready—sometimes clarity only comes when you take the first step.
