You’re probably a very nice friend to your own friends, but maybe you are not such a good friend to yourself.
You might be tough on yourself. Life is so much more fun and easy when you’re nice to yourself.
You will feel so much happier.
But what happens exactly when you start feeling shitty?
During the day we all get triggered. Sometimes more intens than other times. These triggers make us feel a certain way; sad, happy, everything in between and to the extremes.
The next thing that happens is that these emotions set forth a chain of thought. And those thoughts are like fuel for your emotions.
So there’s a circly of negative emotions and negative thoughts going on.
If you want to stop feeling shitty, one way is to stop and examine what it is you’re thinking.
Feeling shitty is part of life, but you will feel less shitty when you take a step back from your own thoughts.
And maybe even change those lines of thoughts into something more positive.
Something you would say to a friend.
